This was an amazing interview. There are so many of us women out there who are afraid to speak up on large platforms about being hurt (specifically shot and specifically me 3xs and left for dead) by famous men in power in our young years. I’m glad she’s speaking up. I know better now, but if anyone forget take anything else from this interview, I hope the one thing is to pay attention to the signs and take what others say into consideration because “love it the possibility of” is blinding. My prayers to her and the residual pain she’ll have to deal with for the rest of her life as I too was shot in the leg and even tho it was 12 years ago, I live with the lasting effects everyday. But we’re blessed to be alive to even be able to deal with it another day, even if it doesn’t feel like it sometimes due to the pain, nightmares and trust issues.

I ended up being around him for yeeeaarrsss as his friend and eventually falling for him (before he met his wife of course, he and I grew up together) but I never could understand why women treated him wrong and he was always single, he’s always been handsome, successful, family oriented, funny and extremely damn talented.. then one night we flirted out loud and ended up staying the night together.. then it all made sense 😩 I haven’t seen him in person since that very night because I got an “emergency call” before the fire got started and when he popped up with that baby on Facebook, I spat my damn drank through my nose 🤣🤣🤣. His wife always has a look of embarrassment like she’s always wondering how many people know her turmoil because sis can’t believe she ended up with the short end of the stick 🤣🤣🤣😩😭 (Lawd forgive me but this is still so funny to me 7 years later)
