In South Florida, it’s common not to buy mangoes; you either grow them or receive them. If you miss out during mango season… 😩 Let’s just say your circle of friends and family circle might shrink, if you get no mangoes. 👀. I wish I were joking…😂🤣The same goes for avocados. Interestingly, it’s not even specific to one ethnic group. The carribean foke brought the tradition w/ them and FL just so happen to get caught up in the mix. And it became and adopted tradition.
