Cherritta Smith YOU SAID IT! ๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐พ I have been going back and forth trying to reconcile "this" and you worded it beautifully. It bothers my entire spirit to know that Tasha is a part of that projected 7% of black women who voted for that convicted felon. I tuned in to watch the live last night, but I couldn't get through 10 minutes of listening to her and another black woman stand 10 toes down on voting for a documented racist. We as people can have thoughts and opinions about any and everything. And we do. But I think politics is one of the only areas that your personal opinion (vote) impacts the collective, the entire country. It's one thing to overlook John John's felony because he's working right next to you on your blue/white collar job. It's completely different when that felon is governing a country filled with people he deeply hates. Where's the line that shouldn't be crossed? Where's the standards to which he's being held? What's too far for him? Not enough people in this country held him accountable for the things he actually did. Meanwhile, the bar set for Kamala was above the clouds.
You're right, Cherritta Smith it did feel like taunting....between the posts I saw in the WhatsApp and in the few minutes I was able to stomach of that live last night. I may attempt to watch it today or this weekend, but honestly I really don't know if I will continue to support. To me, this election and how people voted was not just a difference of opinion, it felt like a choice of life or death.
