It’s also essential to make sure everyone is on the same page, especially about boundaries. While good behavior shouldn’t always come with rewards, it’s important to be clear on the consequences of her choices. Setting consistent boundaries can be difficult, but sometimes it’s necessary to follow through if you decide not to help her or temporarily ask her to leave. Repeatedly allowing her back without changes could unintentionally reinforce the idea that negative behavior has no real consequences.
