At the Mexican restaurant with sadness I asked for lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, avocado and pico De gallo with lots of lime. No shrimp? NO SHRIMP!

I was diagnosed with H - pylori which is a bacteria known to cause ulcers. I was having excruciating heartburn, taking antacids everyday. My husband and I knowing something was wrong and the lining in my stomach was being ruined along with the stomach cramps, fatigue, heart palpation, nausea and feeling like I was having a heart attack. I found a gastronoligost. Im 57 years old and he said we need to do an endoscopy and while your under since you never had one we will do a colonoscopy. The results were I had H-pylori, and a bunch of other diagnosis that ended in ecoli. Still not understanding, doc said we have to.put you on 3 antibiotics for 30 days. I do not like antibiotics but I was scared. Now in my mind I thought 30 days and a strict diet something is truly wrong. I was headed to Hawaii October 28. Babee when I tell you I was so disciplined never not one time did I deviate from the Dr suggested diet and was consistent with my meds I had a breath test on December 3rd and was healed. It's a life style for me. I can only eat small portions. No dairy, no grains, no fried foods, lots of fermented food, easy on the acidic. My favorite is saurkraut. Only hard candy (my favorite werthers) I journal what I eat. If I feel heart burn or any discomfort, I write it down and I Dont eat it. I wanted to join the 14 day detox in support of the winos.

I'm a pescatarian, so for this 14 day detox I removed my fish, vegan butter and cheese, sour dough bread, siete chips/ cookies, eggs, and vegan milk (zero sugar).

I’m rooting for you all to do your best!

Lunch/dinner: Baby spinach, Arugula, orange/yellow bell peppers, shredded radishes, shredded carrots, blanched broccoli (it’s hard on my stomach), scallions, cucumber, red seedless grapes, cherry tomatoes, walnuts , avocado. I squeezed lemon and olive oil over it. Kiwi 🥝 for dessert.

Because I IF on a regular I had my smoothy at 12 which consist of coconut water, bananas, almond butter, chia seed and gluten free rolled oats.

Let’s go! My olive is in the refrigerator. I take that everyday. Just curious does anyone else feel tipsy after a shot of olive leaf extract.

Tasha, I hope you are taking advantage of this down time and are using it to rest and bond. Definitely miss you but don’t rush.
